Seeing the lipstick in person, it didn’t seem that pink toned, but I know lipsticks always look different when worn. I first applied the Lip Cheap Liner and noticed it pulled more of an orange appearance against my skin tone. Sadly, I experienced the same outcome with the Pillow Talk Lipstick. I was, and still am, disappointed because this lipstick is so highly rated online and the swatches are definitely a pink tone, and it didn’t appear that way in person for me.
I posted a swatch of the Mini Pillow Talk Lipstick & Liner Set on my instagram stories, and surprisingly some of my followers also mentioned it looked too orange on them too! The people who mentioned it did have a similar skin tone, but their hair/eye colour were darker than mine, so I’m not sure if it’s our skin tone or just our expectations haha.
Fortunately, Sephora has a great return policy so I was able to return this. Don’t worry, the quest for my perfect wedding lipstick resulted in being Mac’s Love Me Lipstick (in Laissez-Faire). This was a muted greyish pink, and the formula was more creamy and glossy so it was a better match for me!
