Stocking stuffers are the most underrated gifts you can get. When I was younger, it definitely wasn’t something I was the most excited for, but as the years went on, I looked forward to it! I especially enjoyed them more when I was in college because I would get essential products that I actually used on a daily basis and was hoping to get more of. My dad always got us lottery tickets, but my mom would give us moisturizers, makeup remover, body washes etc. Definitely an underrated gift, but most appreciated (I can finally see the appeal of giving/getting socks for Christmas haha). Now that I’m more into beauty and skincare products, I only wish I still got stocking stuffers filled with these types of products.
Check out some products that would make great stocking stuffers this year:
Real Technique Enhanced Eye Set ($27.99 CDN). This enhanced eye set includes 4 brushes, a lash separator, and it all comes with a cup for you to store them on your counter. Included in the set is a medium shadow brush, an essential crease brush, a fine liner brush, and a shading brush. To keep your lashes clump-free, you also get their lash separator to brush out your lashes after mascara application. I really like how this set includes a cup, because I always find it impractical to have a bunch of brushes and nowhere to store them. It doesn’t hurt that this comes in a super cute colour too!
EcoTools Perfecting Blender Duo ($14.52). If you’re looking for an affordable set of makeup sponges, EcoTools is your best bet! I hate applying my foundations and concealers with any other means, so makeup sponges are my go-to. This set includes two sponges – a larger sponge that is perfect for applying foundation all over your face, and a mini sponge for more precise and detailed coverage around your eyes and nose. I use both of these sponges wet, to help blend out nicer (in my opinion). Both sponges have a rounded base for blending, a flat edge for covering larger areas, and a wedge-tip to help in hard to reach areas and for precise definition (think baking!). They are firmer than other sponges, but I’ve noticed they don’t soak up as much product and actually give off a better application. My skin still looks natural and the foundation doesn’t look caked on. I definitely recommend these makeup sponges, and I will definitely be purchasing these once they run its course.
Finesse Daily Renewal Shampoo & Conditioner (~$2.50 CDN each). Ok, I know what you’re thinking.. who gives shampoo and conditioner as a stocking stuffer, let alone a gift in general?! Umm, YOU should. As a college student, these types of products were what I actually looked forward to. I didn’t really need anything extravagant, and honestly, the last thing I wanted to actually take care of was shopping for everyday essentials. & let’s be honest.. 10 years later, and I still don’t want to do that haha. So getting this as a gift is great in my books! Finesse Daily Renewal Shampoo & Conditioner clean and moisturize your hair without leaving behind any residue, which is great when if you use a lot of hair product like myself.
EcoTools On-The-Go Style Kit ($14.60 CDN). This on-the-go kit includes 4 of the most commonly used brushes – their Complexion Blending brush for applying foundation, their Multitasking Blush brush for applying blush, their Micro Crease brush that helps with blending eyeshadows, & their Angled Liner brush to apply the perfect liner! I have other brushes from EcoTools’s Start the Day Beautiful Kit and they’re such great quality brushes. They’re so soft too, especially for such an affordable brand – these would be a great stocking stuffer!
