What does LOVE mean to you?
To me, love represents comfort. The ability to find complete comfort in someone (or something) shows me how much that person means to me. That person represents sort of a “home” feeling – something I’ll always want to go back to & can be myself.
I’m usually not one to wear red lipstick (I don’t think it suits me), but Arbonne’s Smoothed Over Lipstick in Aster seems to be made for me! It’s not your typical red that you’d think of when you want a classic red lip. Arbonne has a ton of makeup, especially lip products. I’m rounding up 4 of their lip products that are perfect for not only Valentine’s Day, but all year round!
I received this lipstick in the shade Aster (#7933), which is a lovely deep red. It really does go on so smoothly and I can definitely feel the hydrating qualities. I went outside to take my dog for a walk when it was very cold, and my lips never got dry or cracked; the lipstick remained soft and bold.
I received Arbonne’s Lip Liner in Berry (#6690), which complemented their Smoothed Over Lipstick in Aster (which I’m wearing in the top photo!). It did go on effortlessly and definitely did keep my lipstick from bleeding.
Arbonne’s Double Take Matte & Shine Lip Duo ($30.00 CDN) is also an amazing set of lip products that are combined in one tube. On one end you have a velvety smooth matte lip cream, and on the other is a creamy, non-tacky lip gloss. These lip duos come in 5 different combinations and look great on their own or even paired up together! These are also vegan, and gluten free.
I received Arbonne’s Double Take Matte & Shine Lip Duo in Azalea (#7949) which compliments my skin tone/hair colour so nicely. Again, it’s not your typical “red”, but I just love how it looks on me. I’m definitely learning to warm up to red lip products – in different shades of course! I found this duo easy to apply, and it wasn’t tacky at all, even when paired together. It actually felt really nice while wearing!
I received this lip gloss in Cardinal (#6744). I’m not a huge fan of rich reds like this, but seeing as it is a lip gloss & not a lipstick, the colour isn’t as pigmented when worn. However, I don’t think I would wear this as much as the 3 other products because I’m not a fan of this particular colour. I would love to try other colours as the formula is nice and adds for extra hydration!
Which of Arbonne’s lip product is your favourite??
Mine is tied between their Smoothed Over Lipstick & Double Take Matte or Shine Lip Duo. It’s so hard to pick! These products are so hydrating, which I especially love in this cold and dry weather.
Now that you’ve seen these products, can you describe #LoveIn1Word??
I find comfort very fitting, especially with these bold shades of lip colours. The rich reds take me out of my comfort zone, but the darker/muted shades make me feel comfortable wearing them. Much like love, you need to find what works for you!
