If you’re not naturally light blonde and you die your hair or your silk base lace wigs, you know it’s hard to upkeep the colour. It can get dull quickly and your natural roots will show within 2 weeks. To avoid having to die it so frequently, I often turn to lightening products such as lightening sprays, shampoos, and conditioners. Klorane makes all of these products using Chamomile to naturally lighten your hair, without using silicone or hydrogen peroxide.
I wasn’t sure how well or not these products initially worked, so I only used the shampoo and conditioner about once or twice a week. The shampoo is very gentle on my scalp and hair, and does get it clean without weighing it down. The only thing I didn’t like was that it doesn’t lather up as much as I wanted. This is strictly a personal preference, so it doesn’t actually go towards the outcome of how the product actually works. The conditioner is absolutely my favourite because it smells so good and makes my hair feel super soft afterwards. My hair is actually left tangle free!
I use the lightening spray when my hair has grown out more and you can really see my natural roots. The spray is twice as concentrated than the shampoo and conditioner, so I use it sparingly – roughly once a week. I’ve used it mostly after a shower when my hair is wet and I can blow dry it to achieve the most lightening effect. I have used it when my hair is dry, but I am rarely outside long enough for the sun to affect it.
I don’t have before/after photos, but I can actually tell a difference after using it for only 2 weeks. It’s not a huge change, but it’s definitely lightened my roots to the point where it doesn’t look as noticeable. I would recommend Klorane products for anyone who has naturally light brown hair or lighter. I don’t think this would be very helpful with anyone who has naturally dark hair.
